Structured, individualized learning difference support that integrates literacy instruction, relational understanding, and whole-person development.
Our dyslexia support in Colorado Springs is designed to meet children where they are and help them build strong, lasting literacy skills, confidence, and steady progress.
When Reading is a Struggle
If your child is struggling with reading, spelling, or writing, you may be seeing signs of dyslexia or a language-based learning difference.
You might notice:
- difficulty decoding words
- slow or effortful reading
- challenges with spelling
- frustration, avoidance, or loss of confidence
These challenges can impact not only academic progress, but also a child’s sense of capability and willingness to engage in learning.
A Different Approach to Dyslexia Support
Our work is grounded in IMSE Orton-Gillingham–based literacy intervention, a structured, evidence-based approach designed to support how the brain learns to read.
At the same time, learning does not happen in isolation. Attention, emotional regulation, and relational safety all play a role in how effectively a child can engage and grow.
Support is therefore approached in a way that integrates:
- structured literacy instruction
- attention and processing support
- emotional and relational awareness
- development of confidence and engagement
This integrated approach supports more stable, confident, and sustainable learning over time.
What Sessions May Include
Each child presents uniquely, and sessions are adapted accordingly.
Support may include:
- explicit, structured literacy instruction (Orton-Gillingham–based)
- reading fluency and comprehension activities
- spelling and written language development
- optional brain-body integration work
- strategies for attention and engagement
- support for reducing frustration and building confidence
Supporting the Whole Child
As children experience success in learning, something deeper often shifts.
They begin to:
- engage more willingly
- take risks in learning
- experience increased confidence
- feel more capable and understood
This work supports not only literacy development, but also the broader process of growth, regulation, and identity formation over time.
For Parents
If you are navigating dyslexia or learning differences with your child, you are not alone.
This work provides space to:
- better understand how your child learns
- gain clarity around next steps
- feel more supported in the process
Its is important to know that dyslexia reflects differences in how the brain processes written language—not a lack of intelligence or ability. With the right support, learners can develop effective, lasting skills in reading, writing, and comprehension.
