Cognitive Brain Integration Therapy

ESC’s brain integration therapy utilizes a three-dimensional, drug-free, non-invasive approach. Designed to reconnect and restore blocked or disconnected networks to help the brain reorganize and integrate information efficiently. Clients experiencing undesirable learning struggles, performance deficits, dysfunctions, sensory processing challenges, emotional or behavioral concerns, have reported improved outcomes.

Our methods have developed over more than 20 years within a consortium of practitioners. It is a synthesis of science-based modalities of learning and healing.

The therapy typically consists of 10 basic sessions, which aim to re-establish proper communication between different areas of the brain to improve overall function.  Each session has a specific learning objective like focus, organization, receptive auditory processing, or visual tracking. Each builds on the previous session and must be mastered (plugged in) before moving on to the next session. There are several optional targeted need sessions that may follow the basic 10. Clients and practitioner may choose any targets to address once the basic 10 are established.

Sessions include four major elements: physical movement, neuro-linguistic eye accessing cues, applied kinesiology, and acutherapy.

How BIT Can Help?

Each person’s brain network system and physiology is unique and will respond uniquely to therapy.

Typically, through a biofeedback – applied kinesiology – process, BIT guides the body to correct imbalances in the brain/body system for optimized function as we address specific learning targets.

Who is Bit For?

Anyone 5+ can benefit from BIT. Who doesn’t need brain optimization protocols? However, children must have some developmental coordination skills to begin.

BIT  is particularly suited to assisting with brain/body processing or learning challenges like dyslexia, ADD, handwriting, coordination, sensory, behavioral or emotional concerns including PTSD, stress, anxiety, or panic disorders.

Assessments

Take advantage of our student-centric, adaptive assessments that provide valuable insights into your child’s strengths and struggles. Our assessment practices reflect our relational pedagogy and are designed to promote engagement and motivate learning.

We employ a baseline data collection protocol to inform placement decisions. This adaptive process provides valuable data for the five components of reading:  phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, phonics (spelling and decoding), and reading levels.  Writing and comprehension assessments are optional components for older students.

Ongoing formative assessments that guide instruction are facilitated through play-based activities, concept spelling tests, high frequency word reading, or writing assignments.

Baseline assessments are available with or without a written report. Parents may request a short or long form report of assessment outcomes, or an in person consultation. Written reports provide an analysis of the data, status based on norms, and suggested goals.

Empower yourself and your child with tools that can help them to thrive academically for a fraction of a center or psychologist’s assessment.
